What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why?
I am most proud of my application of different psychology theories to real world situations. I missed some of the more specific examples but I got the questions that were more general. I proved that I understand the ideas in these chapters. My grade in this assignment is ok but I am always looking to better my future grades.
Which 21st Century Skills do you feel this assignment addresses, and why?
This assignment addresses global awareness skills. Many of the ideas in these chapters are different for different cultures. We have to understand how different places think differently and how that affects their behavior. Some concepts are just not applicable to certain cultures.
How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skills with this assignment?
I improved my global awareness skills with this assignment by learning about different cultures. For example, in the U.S we have many people who believe in the just-world hypothesis. This means that the world is fair and your life's outcome is a direct result of your work. Other countries simply do not have this ideology.
What was most difficult about completing this task?
The most difficult part of completing this task is remembering all the information. Every exam covers 4 chapters and each chapter can have up to 100 vocab words that you have to know. This isn’t counting the theories that you must grasp or the people and dates you must know. Thankfully the test is open book so I could double-check my answers.
How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do differently?
I could improve my work by studying more before the test. I missed a couple questions. Some of them were multiple choice questions and others I missed by over explaining in the written portions. If I were to redo this assignment I would make sure that I understood how to answer these questions.
How does this relate to what you have learned in the past?
This relates to the assignments that I had in the past for this exam. We do quizzes and journals each week in a chapter. Our classes are reviewing the information given in the chapter. This also relates to all the test taking skills that I have learned previously.
How can you apply this to future learning?
I can apply this to any tests that I take in the future. Having the written portions of this test reminded me of when I took the PSAT. I think these exams are great practice for that kind of test. This also applies to the exams that I am going to have to take after in this class. I have improved my skills and have gotten a 100% on my most recent exam.
